Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
BetterOpportunities LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates betteropportunities.info and provides insurance-agent matching, agency evaluation, and optional Guided Licensing Assistance. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices.
2. Information collected
Contact/inquiry information may include name, email, phone, state, licensing status, insurance interests, experience level, work preferences, and messages submitted through forms. Agency inquiries may also include agency name, contact details, the number of sales floor agents, and the states and lines of insurance the agency works in.
Professional licensing information may include license number, state, lines of authority, status, and relevant history. We may request a redacted license document, state lookup result, or limited NIPR report when reasonably needed. Do not provide Social Security numbers, dates of birth, financial information, or unrelated sensitive details unless specifically required through a secure process.
For Guided Licensing Assistance, we may collect name, email, phone, state, order/payment status, selected course option after payment, and service communications. The initial Tally form is used to collect the information needed to begin the process; it does not need to collect the course selection. After successful payment, we ask you to select Life only, Health only, or the combined Life and Health course. Stripe processes card details; we may receive transaction amount, date, status, and reference, but do not intend to store full card numbers or security codes.
Tally surveys are designed not to request names, emails, or phone numbers. Technical information may include IP address, browser/device details, pages visited, form metadata, timestamps, and security logs, depending on website, hosting, plugin, and survey settings.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries; understand candidate experience and preferences; verify licensing status and classify new/experienced agents; identify potential agency matches; share profiles with a named agency after authorization; administer surveys; purchase selected XCEL courses; provide study and licensing-process guidance; process payments/invoices; schedule calls; send service and permitted marketing communications; protect systems; maintain records; and comply with law.
4. XCEL course purchase and data sharing
The customer first submits the Guided Licensing Assistance form through Tally. After submission, we send an email containing a Stripe payment link for the $150 Guided Licensing Assistance service. The customer pays BetterOpportunities through Stripe. After successful payment, we send a follow-up asking the customer to select Life only, Health only, or the combined Life and Health course. We recommend both Life and Health, but the choice is voluntary. Life and Health together are one combined course option, not two separate course purchases. BetterOpportunities then arranges the selected XCEL course as part of the $150 service; the customer does not pay XCEL separately.
To enroll the student and arrange access, we provide XCEL the information its enrollment process requires. Based on the checkout fields supplied to us, this may include first and last name, email, street address, country, state, city, ZIP/postal code, and phone number. XCEL may process payment information directly when BetterOpportunities places the order. XCEL and BetterOpportunities are separate businesses. XCEL administers its course and portal under its own privacy policy and terms; we do not control XCEL’s independent data practices.
5. How we share information
With a matched agency: relevant candidate information is shared with a specific agency only after a genuine potential match is identified and the candidate authorizes the introduction. We do not distribute candidate profiles broadly.
Service providers may include Stripe (payments/invoices), XCEL Solutions (course purchase/access), Brevo (email), Calendly (scheduling), Tally (surveys), Namecheap (domain/hosting as configured), WordPress, Fluent Forms Pro (forms), FluentCRM (contact management/automation), and other enabled plugins or vendors. They process information needed to provide their services.
Bluevine is our business banking provider and may process business account and transaction information. Bluevine is not our customer checkout processor. We may disclose information for legal process, safety, fraud prevention, or enforcement of agreements. We do not sell personal information for money.
6. License verification and NIPR
We may collect limited licensing information to confirm active status and distinguish new from experienced agents. We prefer the least sensitive reliable proof: a public state license lookup, license number and state, or redacted license document. A full NIPR report should not be the default if a less intrusive source is sufficient. We may request a limited NIPR report when relevant licensing history is reasonably needed to assess an experienced agent. We will explain the purpose, restrict access, and share it with a specific agency only after authorization. Before accepting uploads, we must verify Fluent Forms Pro storage, access controls, retention, and deletion. Do not email reports containing Social Security numbers or unnecessary sensitive identifiers.
7. Agency surveys
Tally surveys are designed not to request direct contact details. Tally and its settings may process respondent identifiers, IP-related information, device/browser details, or general location. We do not promise absolute anonymity. Surveys are of agents who currently work at the agency. Agencies send invitations directly to their own agents, and we do not receive or hold agent contact lists from agencies. We review free text comments and remove names and identifying details before reporting any theme. We do not provide agencies with individual completed responses or participation lists. We may share aggregate scores, response counts, periods, and generalized themes, removing identifying details and avoiding small-group breakdowns that could reasonably identify respondents. Survey data is used for evaluation/integrity, not recruiting. Participation does not subscribe a person to marketing or authorize recruiting contact.Surveys are of agents who currently work at the agency. 8. Email
Brevo and FluentCRM are used to manage communications. Service messages may relate to inquiries, course access, appointments, and requested services. Commercial email will include an unsubscribe mechanism as required by law. You may also contact admin@betteropportunities.info to stop marketing messages. Unsubscribing does not prevent essential transactional or service messages. We must test configuration, suppression handling, sender details, and the required postal address rather than assume defaults are correct.
9. Retention
We retain information as reasonably necessary for requested services, matching, survey administration, course support, business records, disputes, security, and legal compliance. Financial records may be retained for applicable tax/accounting periods. Technical information should have its own limited retention schedule. Our practice is to delete individual survey responses, including comments, about 180 days after the agency report is issued (or after any correction request about that report is resolved, if later), and to keep aggregate scores, response counts, survey periods, and reviewed theme summaries for the length of the partnership and a period afterward. We will not promise automatic deletion until system settings and procedures are implemented and tested.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, email, upload form, or electronic storage is completely secure. Access to sensitive licensing documents should be limited to people who need it. Security incidents are handled under applicable law.
11. Cookies, analytics, plugins
The website uses WordPress and tools/plugins including Elementor, Fluent Forms Pro, FluentCRM, and other enabled plugins or security/performance tools. These may process form entries, contacts, technical logs, cookies, or usage information depending on settings. We do not claim that the site uses no cookies, analytics, pixels, or IP logging. The exact technologies must be confirmed through a technical audit of WordPress, hosting, plugins, embedded content, and connected services.
12. Your choices
You may contact admin@betteropportunities.info to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention obligations. You may decline optional information, though this may limit our ability to provide a service or assess a match. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using its unsubscribe link.
13. Children, updates, contact
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. We may update this policy as services, vendors, and legal obligations change; the revised version will be posted with an updated date. Privacy questions may be sent to admin@betteropportunities.info.
