We verify experience with a NIPR state license summary, not just a resume claim. Agencies see real licensing history, not self-reported years — a stronger signal for you and for them.
You've been burned before, or seen it happen to someone at your last agency. You're not looking for spin — you're looking for a straight answer.
We verify experience with a NIPR state license summary, not just a resume claim. Agencies see real licensing history, not self-reported years — a stronger signal for you and for them.
Both hourly + commission and commission-only are available to experienced agents. We generally recommend commission-only, because production-based pay tends to scale with experience — a strong, established producer is often better off without a blended hourly rate pulling down the split. That said, it's your decision, and we'll match you either way.
On residuals: most agencies don't pay them — that's standard, not a warning sign. When an agency provides or pays for your leads, they typically keep the resulting book of business, and you're paid commission on the sale rather than ongoing renewal income. Residual arrangements do exist but they're the exception. We ask every partner agency directly and tell you upfront, rather than letting you assume.
Even with years in the field, it's worth staying alert to how much regulation shapes this business. New rules can shift how you're allowed to sell, what you're required to disclose, or what certifications you need to maintain — and those changes often ripple into how agencies structure pay, leads, and day-to-day operations. Part of why we keep vetting agencies on an ongoing basis, not just once, is that the ground underneath any given agency can shift.
NIPR summary optional but recommended for faster, stronger matches.
