BetterOpportunities ("we," "us," "our") operates betteropportunities.info, a service that connects insurance agents with vetted insurance agencies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you provide directly:
When you submit our Request Info form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, state, whether you are new to insurance or currently licensed, and which type of insurance you're interested in (U65, ACA, Medicare, Indemnity, or undecided).
If you are an experienced agent, you may optionally upload a NIPR summary — a document showing your licensing and appointment history. This is sensitive information related to your professional credentials, and we treat it accordingly (see Section 5 below).
If you use our Guided Licensing Assistance service, you provide payment information directly to Stripe, our payment processor — we do not receive or store your full card details ourselves.
If you contact us through our general contact form, we collect whatever information you choose to include in your message.
If you participate in our anonymous agent vetting survey, we do not collect your name or email as part of that survey — see Section 6.

We do not use your information to guarantee employment or licensing outcomes, and providing your information does not create any obligation on our part to place you with a specific agency.
With matched agencies: Once we've identified a genuine match for you, we share your relevant information (name, contact details, experience level, and NIPR summary if provided) with that specific agency so they can proceed with your interview. We do not share your information with agencies broadly or before a real match has been identified.
Our vetting standard and methodology are public — visible on our website. Individual agency performance data (survey scores, specific feedback) is shared privately with matched candidates only, not published publicly. See our Vetting Process page for more detail.
With service providers: We use third-party providers to operate our business, including:
— Stripe, to process payments for our licensing service
— Brevo, to send email communications
— Calendly, to schedule calls
— Google Forms, to collect anonymous agent survey responses
— Our web hosting provider, to operate this website
These providers process your information on our behalf and are contractually or by policy restricted from using it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we never charge agents a fee for our services.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.
If you choose to upload a NIPR summary, this document may contain sensitive information about your professional licensing history. We use it solely to speed up the matching process for experienced agents and share it only with the specific agency you are matched with. Our agent vetting surveys are designed to be anonymous — we do not ask for your name or email as part of these surveys. We do ask broad, non-identifying ranges (such as how long you've been with an agency) specifically so individual responses cannot be traced back to a specific person, particularly at smaller agencies.
We retain your information for as long as you are an active match candidate or client. If you submit a Request Info form but we are unable to match you, or you do not respond or proceed for 24 months, we will delete or anonymize your personal information — except where payment or financial records must be kept longer to comply with tax and accounting requirements (typically up to 7 years).
You may also request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us, subject to the financial record-keeping exception above.
You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.
