These Terms govern your use of betteropportunities.info and services provided by BetterOpportunities LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website, submitting a form, booking a call, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms. Service-specific written terms or order confirmations may also apply and control if they conflict with these general Terms for that transaction.
BetterOpportunities connects insurance agents and individuals pursuing insurance licenses with information, guidance, and, where appropriate, agencies that meet our published Vetted Standard. We evaluate agencies against our own criteria and may introduce candidates based on experience, licensing status, insurance interests, and preferences.
Candidate matching and placement are free. We are compensated by participating agencies under separate written agency agreements. We do not charge candidates for matching or placement and do not take a percentage of agent commissions or sales. Agencies are independent businesses. We are not an employer, insurer, carrier, agency principal, or legal representative of a candidate or agency.
Submitting information does not guarantee a match, interview, hiring, appointment, income, or any particular working conditions. Those decisions are made by the agency and other third parties. Guided Licensing Assistance does not guarantee course completion, passing a course or state examination, satisfying background-check requirements, or obtaining a license. Licensing decisions are made by the applicable state regulator.
We evaluate agencies using the published Vetted Standard and methodology at https://betteropportunities.info/vetting-process/. Criteria may include pay, contract terms, culture, training, lead quality, technology, and micromanagement. Results reflect information available during a defined review period, including survey responses. They are not a government certification, independent audit, legal opinion, guarantee, or assurance of future conduct. Scores may not represent every agent’s experience, and conditions may change.
We may pause or end introductions if an agency no longer meets our standard. An ineligible determination means only that the agency does not currently meet BetterOpportunities’ criteria; it is not a public declaration that the agency is unlawful or universally unsuitable. Numerical results and detailed feedback are not published as a general public ranking. Detailed results are kept private. When we match you with an agency, we may tell you the areas where it met or exceeded our standard.
Guided Licensing Assistance is an optional paid service for individuals pursuing an insurance producer license. The service price is $150. It includes the customer-selected XCEL Solutions prelicensing course option (Life only, Health only, or the combined Life and Health course), course access setup, BetterOpportunities’ study strategy, and general guidance through the licensing steps. Life and Health together are one combined course option, not two separate course purchases. The customer pays BetterOpportunities for the service; BetterOpportunities arranges the selected course as part of that service.
After payment, we will contact you to confirm your course selection. We recommend choosing both Life and Health because holding both lines may create broader opportunities, but the choice is yours. You may choose Life only, Health only, or the combined Life and Health option. Life and Health together are one combined course option, not two separate course purchases. We will arrange only the option you select.
After your $150 payment is successfully processed and you confirm your course selection, BetterOpportunities arranges the selected course through XCEL Solutions on your behalf. We then provide or arrange portal credentials/access instructions and send study guidance. Do not assume course access is active until we confirm it.
Guidance may include a suggested study approach; recommendations for working through chapter lessons, review material, practice questions, and course assessments; general preparation strategies for the course final and state examination; and direction about usual next steps such as state exam registration, fingerprinting/background checks, and the state license application. Follow-up communication and a strategy call may be included. The service is intended to support you for approximately one month from the date course access is provided.
Study recommendations are guidance, not a guarantee. Course structure, exam-attempt limits, practice tests, state requirements, and vendor procedures can change. Check current requirements with XCEL, the state regulator, and the examination provider. You complete your own coursework and examinations and provide accurate information to all providers and regulators.
The service price does not include state examination registration, fingerprinting, background checks, state application fees, retake fees, or other third-party charges unless the order confirmation expressly says otherwise. Those costs are paid separately to the applicable provider.
XCEL Solutions is an independent third-party course provider. BetterOpportunities and XCEL are separate businesses. BetterOpportunities purchases the selected course for the customer; XCEL supplies and administers its course and portal under XCEL’s own terms and policies. We do not control XCEL’s platform, content, availability, access decisions, or refund decisions.
Payment is made to BetterOpportunities through Stripe using the payment link sent after you submit the Guided Licensing Assistance form. The $150 payment is for the Guided Licensing Assistance service and includes the customer-selected prelicensing course option (Life only, Health only, or the combined Life and Health course), course access setup, study guidance, and general licensing-process guidance. After payment, we will ask you to select your course option and then arrange it through XCEL Solutions. The fee is non-refundable once payment has been successfully processed. This policy must be clearly disclosed before payment. If we cannot provide the selected course or materially fail to provide the service, contact admin@betteropportunities.info for review and any remedy required by law. Any course-specific cancellation, transfer, or refund is also subject to XCEL’s policies. Nothing here waives rights that cannot legally be waived.
You must provide accurate information, select your course option after payment and before course ordering, protect your portal credentials, complete your own coursework, schedule and attend examinations, complete required fingerprints/background checks, and submit required applications. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, insurance consumer records, or carrier credentials through ordinary forms or email.
We share an identifiable candidate profile with a specific agency only after identifying the proposed agency and obtaining your authorization. The agency may then contact you and handles information under its own policies. Any employment, contractor, or appointment relationship is directly between you and the agency; we are not a party to it.
Agency feedback surveys are used to evaluate agencies. The survey is designed not to request respondent names, email addresses, or telephone numbers, but online platforms may process limited technical information. We do not promise absolute anonymity or that identification is technically impossible in every circumstance. We do not provide agencies with individual completed responses or respondent lists. We survey agents who currently work at the agency. Agencies send the survey invitation directly to their own agents, and we do not receive agent contact lists from agencies. We review comments and remove names and identifying details before reporting any theme. We may share aggregate scores, response counts, survey periods, and generalized themes with safeguards against identification. Survey responses are not recruiting lists. Survey participation does not enroll a respondent in matching or authorize recruiting contact.
Our services may use Stripe, XCEL Solutions, Brevo, Calendly, Tally, Namecheap, WordPress, Fluent Forms Pro, FluentCRM, and other website, hosting, security, or communications providers. Each operates under its own terms and privacy practices. Links to state regulators, testing providers, XCEL, and other websites are provided for convenience; review their current requirements and policies.
Unless otherwise stated, website content, branding, written materials, graphics, and the Vetted Standard are owned by or licensed to BetterOpportunities. You may not reproduce, republish, commercially exploit, or misrepresent them without written permission.
The website and services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted website access, error-free third-party services, or any particular match, course, examination, employment, appointment, or licensing result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterOpportunities will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, opportunities, or data. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Florida counsel must review this section before publication, including any liability cap and exceptions.
We may suspend or discontinue services where reasonably necessary to protect users, partners, our business, or the integrity of our processes, or where a user materially violates these Terms. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date; material changes to an existing paid service will receive any notice or consent required by law. Florida law governs, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
