By using betteropportunities.info or our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

BetterOpportunities connects insurance agents with vetted insurance agencies. We evaluate agencies against a public standard based on surveys of their current and recently-departed agents, and match agents to agencies based on the agent's experience level, licensing status, and insurance-type interest.

Our service is free to agents, always. We are compensated by agencies through a flat placement fee, paid only once a placement is active, and a retention bonus if the placement continues at 12 months. We never charge agents for matching services, and we never take a percentage of an agent's commissions or sales.

Submitting your information does not guarantee that we will find you a match, that any agency will hire or appoint you, or that you will pass any licensing exam or background check. We make reasonable efforts to match you with agencies that fit your stated preferences and qualifications, but the ultimate hiring/appointment decision rests entirely with the agency.

We evaluate partner agencies using a standard based on anonymous surveys of their agents, covering pay accuracy, lead quality, training, management, technology, culture, and contract terms. Our methodology is public; individual agency results are shared privately with matched candidates, not published for general access. Details are on our Vetting Process page.

This standard reflects a point-in-time assessment and does not guarantee an agency's future conduct or performance. We periodically re-survey partner agencies, and we pause partnerships with agencies that stop meeting our standard, but we cannot guarantee real-time accuracy at every moment. Our paid Guided Licensing Assistance service costs $150 flat, which includes access to the course material and our guidance through the study and exam-scheduling process. This fee does not include state fees (exam registration, background check, and any state license application fee), which are paid directly by you to the applicable state or vendor.

Refund policy: Once payment is received, we purchase your course access on your behalf immediately — this is a real cost to us at the moment of payment that cannot be recovered. For this reason, payments for Guided Licensing Assistance are non-refundable once processed. This policy is stated clearly here and will be confirmed again at the point of payment, before you complete your purchase.

We do not administer state licensing exams or background checks ourselves, and we do not control or guarantee state processing times, exam results, or background check outcomes.

You agree to provide accurate information when using our services, including in your Request Info submission and any NIPR summary you choose to upload. Providing false or materially misleading information may result in us declining to work with you or, if discovered after a placement, may be grounds for the agency to take its own action independent of us.

Agencies we work with are independent businesses. We are not their employer, agent, or legal representative, and they are not ours. Any employment, contractor, or appointment relationship formed between you and an agency is between you and that agency directly — we are not a party to it.

The content on betteropportunities.info, including our vetting methodology, branding, and written content, is our property. You may not copy or republish it without permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterOpportunities is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to outcomes with partner agencies, licensing results, or employment decisions made by third parties.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
